Overview

Municipal department (Müll Abteilung)48 ("MA 48") - waste management, street cleaning and vehicle fleet - is part of the environmental division of the City of Vienna administration. With about 3,500 employees, MA 48 is responsible for waste prevention, waste collection (residual waste & recyclables) and waste treatment (sorting, composting, fermentation, landfilling, etc.). In total, more than 1 Mio. tons of waste are collected by MA 48 per year. In addition, MA 48 is in charge of street- cleaning and winter-service in Vienna. MA 48 runs a modern integrated management system (IMS) comprising quality, environmental, energy, industrial safety, risk and compliance management. The application was developed for the MA48. The application gives detailed list of the waste collection centres, option to search the collection centres based on the waste group and the type, options to register if you have something to find or got something which some else has lost.

iOS - Mac OS, Support from iPhone SDK 8.0 and above, Xcode as IDE, ObjectiveC, JSON for Web services. Android -IDE - Android studio Android supported versions 4.1(Jellybean) above. Technologies used - Augmented Reality, Push messaging, Real time IM, Radar View, Google ads and google analytics, Inapp purchasing. Android - Version 4.1.2 and above, iOS - Version 8 and above, Backend - Apache Cassandra.
